Wildcats Place 11th at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - Davidson men's cross country ran at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday morning, finishing in 11th place out of 21 teams. The Wildcats tallied 315 points on the day after completing the 8k race.
"The guys continue to improve," head coach Renny Waldron said. "They ran a smart race, running in groups, and they moved up in the second half. It's great to see their fitness improving, and we are looking forward to the A-10 Championship meet in two weeks."
Junior Owen Drometer was the first Wildcat across the finish line, stopping the clock at 25:36.8. Freshman Charlie Siebert was just a few seconds behind him with a time of 25:39.5. Junior Joe dos Reis rounded out the top three Davidson finishers just five seconds behind his teammate at 25:44.2. All seven Wildcats who raced finished within one minute of each other.
Villanova took the top spot at the Invitational and host Princeton landed in seventh place. For a look at the compiled results, follow this link.

Davidson will look towards the A10 Championship meet that will take place on Halloween weekend, Oct. 30 in Cedarville, Ohio.
