Horowitz, Kanjian Earn A-10 Indoor All-Rookie Team Recognition

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A pair of women's track and field freshmen competed their way onto the Atlantic 10 Indoor All-Rookie Team, announced by the league Monday.
Rachel Horowitz and Hannah Kanjian landed on the team following their efforts at the A-10 Indoor Championship. The All-Rookie Team is comprised of the top freshman in each event.
Horowitz, an Austin, Texas, native made the finals of the 400-meter run and placed seventh overall at her first indoor championship. She ended on a high note, as her time of 57.79 seconds was a season-best mark.
For the second straight year Davidson recorded the league's top rookie pentathlete with Kanjian's fifth-place result of 3335 points. The Jupiter, Fla., product followed in the footsteps of sophomore teammate Hazel Tankard, who made the 2019 All-Rookie Team in the same event.
