
Three Wildcats Named to A-10 All-Academic Team

Three Davidson Wildcats have been named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Swimming and Diving Teams, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
Crossan Cooper and Daniel Valmassei were named to the men's team, while Siena Senn was honored on the women's team.
A senior math major, Cooper has been on the All-Academic team three straight years, and he shined at the A-10 championships last month. He took bronze and set a school record in the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:35.15) and was an A finalist in three other events. He took fourth in the 400 individual medley and fifth in the 500 free and was on the fourth-place 800 free relay team.
Valmassei, a junior physics major, won the A-10 one-meter diving title with 310.65 points. He also took silver in the three-meter competition and advanced to compete at the NCAA Zones.
A sophomore, Senn won four medals at the A-10 meet, including gold in the 500 free (4:49.72). She was also on Davidson's 800 free relay team that took silver and set a school record (7:16.47), and she took bronze in the 200 free and on the 400 free relay.
