‘Cats Picked Second in A-10 Preseason Golf Poll

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson, the 2018 Atlantic 10 Champion and last year's runner-up, received three first-place votes and has been picked second in the 2020 Preseason Golf Poll, as voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.
VCU, last year's conference champion, was tabbed the favorite after receiving 118 total points and eight first-place nods.
Dayton, Richmond and Rhode Island rounded out the Top-5, followed by Saint Joseph's, George Mason, George Washington, St. Bonaventure, Fordham and La Salle.
Through three events this spring, the Wildcats have recorded three Top-5 showings, including a pair of runner-up finishes.
Junior Alex Ross leads Davidson with a 71.50 stroke average. After seven events this season, the 2018 A-10 Rookie of the Year and 2019 all-conference selection has posted six Top-5's, including a share of the individual title at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate.
