Baseball Opener Moved After Lehigh's Arrival Delayed

The baseball season will arrive one day late in Davidson.
Friday's scheduled season opener vs. Lehigh has been delayed a day after the Mountain Hawks were unable to fly into Charlotte Thursday as planned. Inclement weather caused a number of delays and cancellations in the Queen City.
Davidson and Lehigh still plan to play a three-game series, with a doubleheader early Saturday afternoon. A start time will be set Friday.
Despite heavy rains in Davidson this week, the Wildcats have been able to practice as scheduled on the newly installed artificial turf infield. The Wildcats practiced on the field Wednesday and Thursday and will have one final tune-up Friday.
