
McGuire Resets Heptathlon Record at Queens Combined Events

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Men's track and field senior Stockton McGuire reset the program record in the heptathlon at the Queens Combined Events Monday and Tuesday at JDL Fast Track.
McGuire recorded 4,741 points over the seven events to place fifth overall. He eclipsed classmate James Davis' previous best of 4,420 set at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship.
Wildcat freshman Bryce Anthony registered 4,173 points, earning 908 with an 8.30 second 60-meter hurdle performance. He placed 11th of 25 competitors. Senior James Davis notched 3,852 points over the two days.
Davidson returns to JDL Thursday, Feb. 13 at the JDL College Team Challenge.
