DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson begins a key two-game homestand this weekend when it hosts Massachusetts on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Atlantic 10 women's basketball inside John M. Belk Arena.
The Wildcats (13-7, 6-1 A-10) are sitting all alone in second place, ahead of UMass and one game off co-leaders VCU (7-0) and Dayton (7-0), which they host Wednesday night.
The Minutewomen come into Sunday's game with a 15-6 overall record and are 5-3 in A-10 play after securing a 64-50 home win on Wednesday against Richmond.
GAME PROMOTION ...
Sunday's game is National Girls and Women in Sports Day as well as Girl Scouts Day. All girl scouts will receive FREE admission to the game.

•Deegan tallied game highs of 25 points, with 16 of them coming in the second half, and 11 rebounds to go with a season-best six assists. The double-double gives the freshman five on the season.
•Welch had 11 points and hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 1:22 to go breaking up a 67-all tie. She added two free throws with 25 seconds left to give the 'Cats a 74-70 lead.
•Fuller (eight points, two blocks) hit a put-back layup off an offensive rebounds to give the Wildcats a 72-69 lead with 28 ticks left and then stole a pass of an in-bounds play with 24 seconds remaining to keep the score at 74-70.

•Katie Turner continues to climb up in the Wildcats' all-time records, with Turner closing in on 1,000 career points (939) while sitting in fifth in threes (175) and fifth in assists (322). Sarah Donovan crossed the 500-rebound mark (531) and is 13 away from reaching 15th all-time.

•Senior Hailey Leidel had 11 points to eclipse 1,700 in her career. In doing so, Leidel became the first player in Massachusetts' program history to record 1,700 points, 600 rebounds and 200 assists in a career.
•On the season, Leidel is pacing the offense with a 16.6 points per game average, good for third in the league overall.
•Breen is right behind Leidel at 16.3 points per game and has a team-best 8.3 rebounding average.
•Maeve Donnelly leads the A-10 with 57 blocks (2.7 per game) on the season.
