Women's T&F Competes at JDL Flat is Fast

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Women's track and field returned to JDL Fast Track for the JDL Flat is Fast Meet Saturday.
Wildcat freshman Chloe Davis stretched the tape 5.47-meters (17'11.50) in the long jump to narrowly edge senior teammate Makayla Binter's school record of 5.45m. Davis' mark placed her third overall. Freshman Hannah Kanjkian took fifth in 5.32m, while sophomore Hazel Tankard was eighth in 5.50m.
Fellow Wildcat rookie Caroline Djakuduel broke her own program record in the weight throw, stretching the tape 13.24m (43'5.25) to place second overall.
Kanjian returned in the high jump, taking third after clearing 1.58-meters (5'2.25). Binter (1.53m) and Tankard (1.48m) were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Keeping on the field side, freshman Gracie McBride placed second in triple, stretching the tape 10.61-meters (34'9.75).
Binter set a new personal best in the shot put. The multi's athlete stretched the tape 11.11-meters (36'5.5), good for fifth. Freshman Caroline Djakuduel also notched a new PR by a meter, marking a throw of 10.62-meters (34'10.25), the ninth best throw of the day.
Sophomore Meghan Corso made it to the finals of the 60-meter hurdles and took fifth, stopping the clock in 9.23 seconds.
Davidson returns to the track Sunday, Feb. 2 back at JDL for the Mondo College Invitational.
