Davidson Hosts Rhode Island on NBC Sports Sunday

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Playing its first-ever nationally televised game at John M. Belk Arena, the Davidson women's basketball team will welcome Rhode Island Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. for a game that will be featured on NBC Sports Network.
The Wildcats (9-6) are off to a 2-0 start in A-10 play after scoring a 12-point win Wednesday against Fordham in front of nearly 1,500 local elementary students as part of an Education Day game. Rhode Island (8-6, 1-1 A-10) won its first league game Tuesday against Richmond in overtime, 76-70.

For Sunday's game, the first 250 fans will get a FREE LED baton stick for the game.

•Adelaide Fuller in 18 minutes of action, scored 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting and a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe. Fuller helped spark a 12-3 run in the first quarter with a triple at the top of the arc that turned a 6-4 deficit into a 16-9 lead as the 'Cats never looked back. Fuller had seven first-quarter points.
•Davidson would led by as many a 13 points in the second quarter and 16 later in the fourth quarter.
•Chloe Welch had 17 points, setting a new career best and Katie Turner finished 11 points and six rebounds.
•Hitting the 40-rebound mark for the ninth time this year, the Wildcats had a 42-32 advantage on the glass.
