NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — For the third week in a row, Davidson volleyball player Madeline Wynn has been honored as the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Wynn is a freshman middle blocker from Savannah, Ga.
"Madeline continues to show commitment and growth in her game," said Davidson coach Chris Willis. "We're only seeing the tip of the iceberg with her, and I can't wait to see her continue to develop."
Wynn turned in another notable weekend performance as the Wildcats went 1-1 in A-10 play.
She had nine kills and eight blocks in Friday's win over Duquesne and followed that with eight kills and four blocks Sunday against La Salle.
Wynn ranks second in the A-10 in blocks per set (1.31) and is third in hitting percentage (.325). She is second on the team with 100 kills and first with 63 total blocks.
