Since stepping onto the tennis courts at Davidson, Axel Fries has made a name for himself in the Atlantic 10. The Stockholm, Sweden native was named the 2017 A-10 Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year, while getting named to the league's all-second team and then followed up with a spot on the second team again in 2018.
A two-time A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree who has already won a combined 59 matches (32 singles, 27 doubles) during his two-year career, Fries is more than just an excellent tennis player. In this week's Friday Feature, we get a closer look at the two-time all-league member on and off the court.
