Men's XC Hit the Trails at the Live In Lou Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Davidson men's cross country team competed in their first 8,000 meter run of the season Saturday at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic.
Once again the 'Cats were led by sophomore Colin Ross. Ross traversed the 8k course in 24:35.4, a top 50 effort. Teammate George Lewis also broke 25 minutes, stopping the clock in 24:53.0.
Sophomore Max Pearson (25:32.1), junior Jake Carver (25:49.0) and sophomore Rafael Oettl (25:52.7) were the final scorers for Davidson on their trip to the Bluegrass State.
The Wildcats finished 27th of 41 teams with a partial team competing. Middle Tennessee State took home the team crown with 81 points, while Louisville (111) and Campbell (147) rounded out the top three squads.
Davidson will return to the trails Friday, Oct. 11 at the Royals Cross Country Challenge at McAlpine Park in Charlotte with another partial squad before heading to Princeton with a full roster.
