Hunter Named A-10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Davidson senior Maddie Hunter was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
Hunter led the 'Cats to a fourth-place finish at the Royals Cross Country Challenge, placing 28th of 541 competitors. The Charlottesville, Va., native traversed the 5,000-meter cross country course at McAlpine Park in Charlotte in 18:17.0, her second fastest time of the season.
It is the first Performer of the Week distinction for Hunter and first for the Wildcats this season, although the two-time All-Atlantic 10 runner won a pair of Rookie of the Week honors in 2016.
Hunter and her Davidson teammates next toe the line at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Sat. Nov. 2 in Fairfax, Va.
