Wrestling Drops Dual to Hofstra

LEXINGTON, S.C. – Davidson wrestling dropped a neutral site dual to Hofstra Sunday, Jan. 20 at Lexington High School, 33-8.
With the loss Davidson falls to 2-7 overall, while with the win Hofstra improves to 3-7 on the season.
Wildcat freshman Kyle Gorant continued his stellar freshman campaign, picking up his 11th win of the season with an 11-6 decision at 133 pounds. Junior Noah Satterfield (174 lbs) was the other 'Cat to see his hand raised, blanking his opponent 16-0 in a technical fall. The Marysville, Ohio, native has now recorded three of Davidson's six tech falls to date this season.
Junior Conor Fenn battled in a tough 6-4 overtime loss, one of three 'Cats to lose by way of tight decisions.
Davidson return to the mat Sunday, Jan. 27 at Chattanooga for a Southern Conference dual with the Mocs. First bout is slated for 2 p.m.
