Sears and Yarbrough End Stellar Seasons at NCAA East Regional

TAMPA, Fla. – Davidson women's track and field had two competitors take to the track in the 5,00-meter run Saturday evening at USF Track & Field Stadium on the campus of the University of South Florida.
Junior Caroline Yarbrough toed the line in the first heat and completed the 5k in 16:36.40, good for 10th in her section. Senior Sarah Sears followed up with a 16:56.34 performance, 17th in her heat. The East Regional was the first for both student-athletes who recorded 36 points combined at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship in early May.
The duo end the season with top two 5k times in program history, Yarbrough holds the record at 16:20.70 with Sears next in line at 16:21.36.
