Baseball Lands 5th Seed for A-10 Championships in D.C.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Davidson baseball, the 2017 tournament champions, will participate in its fourth-straight Atlantic 10 Championship, beginning this Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
The 'Cats finished the regular season at 32-19 and 14-10 in conference and will serve as the fifth seed in the tournament, facing off against fourth-seeded Richmond Wednesday at 5 P.M. Davidson took two-of-three from the Spiders earlier this season in Richmond. UR finished the season at 31-22 overall and 15-9 in league play.
Saint Louis and George Mason earned the top two spots, with SLU receiving a first-round bye. Davidson took the series from both of these opponents this season. Fordham will serve as the three seed, facing off against last season's regular season champion and upcoming sixth seed, VCU, which Davidson also took two-of-three from.
George Washington, the championship host and the only team the 'Cats did not face in the tournament field, will carry the seventh seed.
Tickets to the championship are $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for students, seniors and youth. An All-Session ticket book is available for $25.00 for adults and $12.00 for students, seniors and youth. Tickets may be purchased at the gate
