
Three named to HERO Sports All-America team

DAVIDSON, N.C. –Three Wildcats were named to HERO Sports FCS All-America lists, announced Monday and Tuesday.
Sophomore's Wesley Dugger and Zion Johnson and freshman Dreylan Hines made the HERO Sports annual list of the best FCS players in the nation.
Dugger, a sophomore first team offensive selection, racked up a career-high 1241 yards on 187 carries and led the Wildcats with 16 touchdowns. The Henrico, Va., native currently ranks fourth on the all-time rushing list with his sites on the top spot in 2019. Dugger was also named to the All-Pioneer Football League first team.
Johnson, was named an honorable mention sophomore. The second-year tackle was a force on one of the most productive offensive lines in the nation, nicknamed "The Davidson Moving Company." The Wildcats finished the regular season ranked number one in the FCS in total offense (561.9), rushing offense (442.9) and third down conversion percentage (55.6%).
Hines, a PFL Co-Defensive Freshman of the Year and All-Conference honorable mention, was named to the HERO Sports All-Freshman team. Hines led all PFL freshmen in passes defended (8) and interceptions (4). His 4 picks led the Wildcats who made 13 as a team. Hines 0.24 interceptions per game ranked 24th in all of the FCS. The Arlington, Texas, native made 40 stops, tied for fifth on the team.
