
Yarbrough claims All-Conference honors for 4th time at A-10 XC Champs

MECHANICSVILLE, Va. – Senior Caroline Yarbrough raced onto her fourth All-Conference team in as many tries at the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship Saturday at Pole Green Park.
Yarbrough led the Wildcats with a seventh place finish, stopping the clock in 17:37.0. The 2015 A-10 Rookie of the Year made the All-Conference team in all four of her trips around the championship course.
Davidson placed ninth as a team, registering 192 points. Richmond claimed the team title with 41 total points, while Dayton (94) and Fordham (149) rounded out the top three squads.
Junior Maddie Hunter was next across the line for Davidson, placing 20th with a time of 17:58.6. Senior Sophia Mills checked in in 30th, crossing the line in 18:10.1.
"Our top-three ran well despite some setbacks and I'm so proud of Caroline on running onto her fourth All-Conference team" said Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Jen Straub. "We now have to regroup and try to rebuild at Regionals."
Junior Susannah Cate made her move up through the field to finish fourth for the 'Cats, just ahead of freshman teammate Rachel Shapiro.
Davidson returns to the trails Friday, Nov. 9 at the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet at Winthrop Farm.
