FAIRFAX, Va. - The unofficial "Atlantic 10" wrestling title remained in the hands of George Mason, after the Patriots downed Davidson 29-9 Friday evening. The two schools are the only to field wrestling squads among the league.
The 'Cats slip to 1-5 overall, while Mason improves to 3-5 on the season. The trio of stalwart Dustin Runzo, sophomore Hunter Costa, and senior Konner Pritchard picked up wins for Davidson, all victorious via decisions.
Davidson returns to the mats tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 13 for a pair of duals at Virginia Military Institute. The 'Cats square off against the host Keydets in a SoCon match at 1:00 p.m., and battle Clarion in a non-conference clash at 5:00 p.m.
