Davidson Drops 3-1 A-10 Opener at UMass

AMHERST, Mass. – The Davidson women's soccer team opened Atlantic 10 play Thursday afternoon at Massachusetts and dropped a 3-1 decision at Rudd Field.
The Wildcats dropped to 2-8 (0-1 A-10) on the season, while UMass ran its record to 3-4-1 (1-0 A-10).

•This was the fourth meeting for Davidson and UMass, as the series started when the Wildcats entered the A-10 in 2014.
•UMass' win broke up a tie in the all-time series, as it holds a 2-1-1 advantage now.
•This was the first time the Wildcats opened league play against the Minutewomen.
•Davidson's lone goal on the afternoon came in the 83rd minute off the foot of Allison Gray, her team-leading third goal of the season.

We are looking ahead to positive performance against a good VCU team on Sunday at home."
Davidson returns home to take on VCU this Sunday at 2 p.m.
