DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson women's soccer team enters their Atlantic 10 schedule this week when they travel to play at Massachusetts Thursday and then host VCU Sunday at Alumni Stadium.
The Matchup ...
Davidson (2-7, 0-0 A-10) will welcome VCU (4-2-1, 0-0 A-10) to Alumni Stadium Sunday, Sept. 24, for a 2 p.m. contest. This will be second trip for the Rams to Alumni Stadium.
Prior to facing the Rams Sunday, the Wildcats will open league play Thursday at 4 p.m. on the road against the Minutewomen (3-4-1, 0-0 A-10). The series is all knotted up at 1-1-1 since both teams first met in 2014.
The All-Time Series/Last Meetings ...
This will be the fourth meeting all-time since Davidson entered the A-10 in 2014. The 'Cats are seeking their first win in the series.
Last year's matchup saw Perry Zollicoffer put the Wildcats up 1-0 with her first career goal at the 52:20 mark in the second half, but the Rams answered with goals in the 58th and 64th minutes to hold on for a 2-1 victory at home.

Davidson went 1-1 last week in its final non-conference games ... the Wildcats picked up a 2-0 shutout win vs. Winthrop before falling last Sunday in a 2-0 setback to Elon ... Sophomore's Sabine Chandler and Randi Geffrey each scored a goal in the win vs. the Eagles ... Cameron France added an assist ... Allison Gray and France pace the team with two goals and an assist for five points, while Gray has a team-high 11 shots ... France's assist was the first of her career ... The goal by Geffrey was her first-ever to give her three career points ... Perry Zollicoffer has two of the Wildcats' seven assists on the season ... goalkeeper Kendall Thomas has started four games, while Becca Ravitz has started five games and played in seven of them ... Ravitz was credited with her seventh career win vs. Winthrop, first of the season, and pushed her shutout total to 4.5 ... she has earned 22 saves ... Davidson is 2-3 at home this year ... the 'Cats are in a stretch of playing four of the next five games at Alumni Stadium, with Sunday's game being the third game ... head coach Adam Denton is in his first year leading the program after serving as assistant and associate coach the past four years ... the 'Cats return 23 letterwinners, including five starters ... they welcome seven newcomers to this year's team.

VCU, which plays host to Dayton for its league opener, is coming off a 1-1 tie against Longwood, Sept. 14 ... the Rams opened the season with three straight wins against Liberty, Old Dominion and American ... Amanda Tredway paces the offense with four goals and eight points ... Julia Suarez has three goals and an assist for seven points ... VCU has 15 goals and 13 assists on the season to go with 43 shots (16.1 per game) ... Au Sanderson has started all seven games between the pipes ... she has an 0.83 goals against average and 23 saves to go with three shutouts ... the Rams' schedule features four programs that participated in the NCAA Tournament just a year ago ... last year saw VCU go 8-10-1 with a 4-6 record in A-10 games ... this is the Rams' sixth year in the A-10 after being apart of the Colonial Athletic Association from 1995-2011 ... head coach Lindsey Martin is in her fifth season and is the program's sixth head coach.
