NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Quinn Dudek of the Davidson men's soccer team has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Dudek shares this week's honor with George Washington's Oscar Haynes Brown.
"This is a further boost to Quinn's development," said head coach Matt Spear. "We avoid putting too much on freshmen except in very rare occasions; to allow them to transition to the college game and life at Davidson. Quinn has made an impact in a few games already so he's on the right track. His work rate in games is essential and he showed his confidence and precision in the important goal vs. Wofford."
A forward from Malvern, Pa., Dudek finished the week with his first career goal and assist in helping Davidson remain unbeaten (5-0-1) and off to its best start since the 1982 season. His assist came in the Wildcats' 1-1 (2OT) draw with High Point, while he put Davidson up 2-0 with his goal against Wofford Friday evening.
