CONCORD, N.C. – The Davidson men's cross country team opened the season at the Charlotte Preview Meet Friday at Frank Liske Park.

The 'Cats were led by senior Ramsay Ritchie who crossed the line in fourth overall, stopping the clock over the 5k course in 15:49.1. Davidson registered 44 points, while the 49ers took the dual meet with 18.

Junior Dylan Carmack was next across the line in ninth (16:05.1), while freshman Jake Carver came home in 12th (16:28.2). Davidson packed up to take 16th-20^th places with William Jones, Alex Hazan, Jack Ryan and Bailey Autry.

Davidson returns to the start line Friday, Sep. 15 at the Adidas CC Challenge hosted by NC State in Cary, N.C.
