Swimming Tabs Four CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

NORFOLK, Va. -- Both Davidson's men's and women's swimming and diving programs were recognized for Scholar All-America recognition by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Tuesday evening.
The men's program boasted the sixth-highest cumulative GPA in Division I during the Spring 2017 semester, where juniors Clay Resweber and Taylor Willenbring were given honorable mention recognition on the Scholar All-America team. Over 80 men's Division I squads achieved above a 3.0 to earn the distinction.
On the women's side, senior stalwart Elise Lankiewicz was named a Scholar All-American, while classmate Katy Williams garnered honorable mention. Over 120 DI women's programs recorded team GPAs of 3.0 or better during the Spring semester. Lankiewicz was one of just two swimmers from the Atlantic 10 to earn All-American status, and the only female.
Davidson swimming and diving will begin its 2017-18 campaign in September.
