
Two Program Records Fall for Women's T&F at Duke Invite

DURHAM, N.C. - The Davidson women's track and field team posted a pair of new program records in day one of the Duke Invite Friday at Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium.
Wildcat senior Hannah Rieden snapped her school record mark in the 800-meter run, stopping the clock in 2:08.65. the Austin, Tex., native placed fifth overall, the fourth collegiate finisher.
Davidson sophomore Tori Long reset the mark in the 400-meter run, finishing with a time of 57.52 seconds. Freshman Claire Nieusma broke a personal best with a time of 58.27 seconds.
Freshman Carly Peters placed third overall in the javelin with a toss of 42.63m (139'10). Senior Allison Cheeseman finished just outside the top-10 with a 12th place result in the 5k (18:08.97).
The Wildcats return to the Duke Invite tomorrow with events beginning at 3 p.m. from Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium.
