DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson men's soccer team will continue their 2017 spring slate with a 1 p.m. kickoff against Charlotte Independence (USL Pro) on Sunday at Alumni Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.
In addition to an autograph session immediately following the contest, kids ages 6-12 are invited to participate in a free 30-minute clinic, beginning at approximately 3 p.m.
The Davidson coaches, who also run the summer's Davidson Soccer Camps, will direct the postgame clinic with assistance from the Davidson players.
Davidson has tied its first two spring exhibition matches vs. Furman (2-2) and Charlotte (1-1).
The Charlotte Independence are members of the United Soccer League, just below Major League Soccer. Sunday's match will be their final preseason tune-up before opening with the Charleston Battery on April 1.
