Lang T-6th; Golf T-5th After Day One of Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. – In addition to Jack Lang sitting tied for sixth individually, the Davidson golf team is currently tied for fifth after two rounds of the 2017 Seahawk Intercollegiate hosted by UNC Wilmington.
A sophomore from Lexington, Mass., Lang (146/+2) opened the two-day/54-hole event with a 74, before carding an even-par 72 in the afternoon. The 2016 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year is looking for his third Top-5 finish of the season.
Davidson (305-308=613), which was tied for third after round one, will enter Monday's final round just five shots out of second place, currently held by A-10 foe Richmond (306-302=608).
Kent State (291-281=572/-4) leads the 12-team field by 36 strokes.
The Golden Flashes' Josh Whalen (-7) holds the individual lead by two over teammate Gisli Sveinbergsson (-5).
Battling through cold and extremely windy conditions, just four out of 74 competitors are under par after 36 holes.
