Hood Named Interim Head Football Coach

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Director of Athletics Jim Murphy has announced Justin Hood will serve as interim head football coach.
Hood joined the football staff in the spring of 2016, coaching the safeties and serving as the program's recruiting coordinator for the past two seasons. After his first year, he was promoted to defensive pass game coordinator, while continuing to work with the defensive backs as well as kick punt returners.
"Coach Hood has the experience and personality to bind the needs of our current players and our recruiting foundation," said Murphy. "I'm confident Coach Hood will help provide a seamless transition as the search continues for our next head coach."
Hood will assume all responsibilities of the head coach until the position is filled.
