DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson and Duquesne will square off on the pitch Sunday afternoon in an Atlantic 10 women's soccer matchup on the 1992 Team Field inside Alumni Stadium.

Davidson (2-11, 0-4 A-10) will host the Duquesne Dukes (7-3-2, 3-1 A-10) at Alumni Stadium Sunday, Oct. 8, for a 2 p.m. contest. This will be the second trip for the Dukes to Alumni Stadium since the Wildcats joined the A-10.

The Davidson women's soccer team will be signing autographs following its Sunday game against Duquesne. The autograph session is free and open to everyone.
The All-Time Series/Last Meetings ...
This will be the sixth meeting vs. Duquesne all-time since both teams first met in 1999. They met last year in Pittsburg, Pa., with the Dukes claiming a 2-0 decision. In 2015, the two teams met at Alumni Stadium and the Wildcats scored a 1-0 victory.

Davidson, which plays at La Salle Thursday evening at 7 p.m., recently played at Dayton last Sunday and dropped a 2-0 decision ... for the second game in a row, the Wildcats held their opponent scoreless heading into the halftime break in an evenly played first half ... Katie O'Connor kicked in the game-winner in the 25th minute and keeper Kyra Murphy made four saves to earn the shutout victory ... the Dukes other two A-10 wins have come against Saint Louis (2-1) and VCU (1-0, OT) ... O'Connor and Murphy were named the A-10 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week ... O'Connor has four goals (three of them game-winners) and two assists for 10 points ... Linnea Faccenda paces the team with five goals and three assists for 13 points ... Murphy has started all 12 games, allowing just 11 goals for an 0.87 GAA ... she has 71 saves ... Duquesne is 2-2-1 on the road this year ... the Dukes were picked to finish fifth in the preseason poll ...
