AKRON, Ohio – Davidson's Jack Lang (74-71-70 = 215/-1) fired a final-round two-under 70 to finish tied for fourth at the 2017 Firestone Invitational hosted by Akron.
The two-day/54-hole event was played on the Par 72, 7,125-yard Firestone Country Club North Course.
The field also included, Bradley, Cincinnati, Dayton, Furman, George Mason, Illinois State, Mercer, Ohio, Old Dominion, Richmond, South Carolina Aiken, Temple, William & Mary and Valparaiso.
A junior from Lexington, Mass., Lang made the turn in even-par 36 before carding birdies on two of his last three holes to climb eight spots up the individual leaderboard.
In addition to posting his fifth career Top-5 showing and 21st round of par or better, the 2017 Atlantic 10 Individual Champion has a 71.00 stroke average through two fall events.
