Morris Tabbed PFL Special Teams Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Davidson junior punter Charles Morris was tabbed the Pioneer Football League Special Teams Player of the Week, announced by the league Sunday.
Morris shined in his first career start, averaging 34.7 yards per punt on 10 attempts, while pinning Drake inside the 20 five times. The Bulldogs average drive start after a Morris punt was their own 21-yard line. On top of that, one Morris attempt resulted in a turnover, recovered by senior Ryan Samuels. His long of the day was 52 yards, but resulted in touchback, the only one of the game for the Raleigh, N.C., native.
For Davidson, it is the first weekly honor handed out this season.
Morris and the Wildcats return to action Saturday, Nov. 4 back at Richardson Stadium when Campbell visits for a PFL. Kickoff from Stephen B. Smith Field is slated for 1:06 p.m.
