DULUTH, Ga. – Senior Nathan Tenpas recorded the best finish of his career to lead the Davidson golf team at the 2017 Autotrader Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia State.
The two-day/54-hole event was played on the Par 72, 6,706-yard Berkeley Hills Country Club layout.
14 – Davidson (305-301-299 =905)
T39 – Nathan Tenpas (75-76-73 = 224)
T45 – Alex Ross (78-75-72 = 225)
T53 – Michael Freeman (77-74-75 = 226)
T69 – Mike Blasey (75-76-79 = 230)
85 – Jack Lang (80-77-81 = 238)
Georgia Southern (-17), the lone team under par, cruised to the team title by 24 strokes over in-state foe Georgia State.
In addition, the Eagles' Steven Fisk (66-66-65 = 197 | -19) was just as impressive finishing 12 swings ahead of the competition to capture individual medalist.

Davidson will return to the course for its spring opener at the Wexford Intercollegiate Feb. 26-27 in Hilton Head, S.C.
