ELON, N.C. – Davidson was unable to counter two first-half goals by Elon in falling Thursday night 2-0 on the road in women's soccer non-conference action at Rudd Field.
Davidson dropped its second road decision in a row to fall to 4-5 on the season, while Elon moved to 4-4-1.

• This was the 23rd meeting dating back to 1989 between both school's women's soccer programs.
• Davidson saw its all-time record drop to 12-10-1 vs. the Phoenix and remained without a win on the road against them since 2008.
• Head coach Greg Ashton remains two wins from becoming the program's all-time winningest coach. He entered the day with 116 victories during his 12 years at Davidson.
• Elon tallied goals by Taylor Paradoski and Tori Baliatico in the 17th and 28th minutes in the first half for the game's two goals.
• The second goal was initially saved, but sophomore keeper Alex Carpenter was unable to pull in the ball and Baliatico knocked it through.

Davidson will take some time off now before starting up Atlantic 10 play on the road. It travels to Richmond, Va., to face VCU, Sept. 29, in its first league game.
