Wildcats Secure First Win of Season at Gardner-Webb

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Behind goals from Lauren Grace Himes and Mia Hodges, the Davidson women's soccer team secured their first win of the 2016 season with a 2-1 road victory at Gardner-Webb under the lights inside Greene-Harbison Stadium Friday night.
Davidson remained perfect all-time against the Runnin Bulldogs (0-2-1), as it ran its season record to 1-2 overall.

• This was the sixth meeting between the two North Carolina schools dating back to 1990, with Davidson now having won all six meetings.
• Tonight's game was the first time both programs faced each other since the 2006 season when Davidson took a 4-0 shutout win on the road.
• Head coach Greg Ashton is now five wins away from becoming the program's all-time winningest coach. He entered the night with 113 victories during his 12 years at Davidson.
