
2015-16 Award Winners Announced for Davidson Athletics

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson College has announced its award winners for the 2015-16 athletic season, including the Tommy Peters Award (senior men's swimmer Luke Burton- Olympic Trials Qualifier and school record holder in four individual events) and the Rebecca A. Stimson Award (senior women's basketball Hannah Early- program record holder in three-pointers with 231 and finished fourth all-time in scoring with 1,406 points), honoring the college's top male and female athletes.
In recognition of their outstanding dedication and contribution to intercollegiate athletics, senior forward Alec Rotunda of the men's soccer team earned the Thomas D. Sparrow Award, while volleyball's Morgan Shannon received the Susan K. Roberts Award. Caroline Yarbrough, A-10 Women's Cross Country Freshman of the Year and an A-10 all-conference pick for indoor track & field , was recognized with the Helen DeVane Carnegie Award, presented to Davidson's most outstanding freshman athlete.
