Davidson Earns Six Seed In A-10 Championship

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Davidson baseball team earned a No. 6 seed in the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship thanks to its most recent win over No. 2-seed VCU, the league announced Saturday evening.
The Wildcats will face No. 3-seed Saint Joseph's in the championship opener on Wednesday, May 25 at 10 a.m.
Davidson finished conference play 11-11, which tied George Washington's 12-12 record, but the Wildcats won the tiebreaker as they defeated the Colonials, 2-1, back in April.
The Wildcats also defeated Saint Joseph's in the regular season, taking the first two games of the series on April 1-3 in Philadelphia, Pa.
The Friday semifinals and Saturday finals will air live on television on the American Sports Network (ASN). Every game of the championship will also be available online on the A-10 Network. The winner will receive the Atlantic 10's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.
Tickets for the championship begin at $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children under 18 and senior citizens. Tickets are available on site at Houlihan Park or by contacting the Fordham ticket office.
