22nd Annual Dr. Tom Scott Memorial Golf Tournament - Thank You!

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- On Monday, May 2, over 100 supporters of Davidson Athletics took to the links at River Run Country Club to help raise money for the Davidson Golf program by playing in the 22nd Annual Dr. Tom Scott Memorial Golf Tournament. Our players managed to play about 11 holes before the heavy rains put an early end to the tournament. The event culminated with a reception in the new Davidson College Golf House at River Run.

The tournament is named in honor of Dr. Tom Scott, former Director of Athletics at Davidson from 1954 to 1975 and self-appointed golf coach from 1955 to 1976. Dr. Scott served as five-term president of the Southern Conference and helped prepare Davidson for the introduction of women's athletics in 1974.
