Wildcats Compete at Duke Invite

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson track program had a strong showing on the first day of the Duke Invitational held at the Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium Friday.
On the women's side, Davidson posted three top-20 finishes in the half mile.
Senior Ashlyn Gruber ran a personal-best time of 2:12.44 to place eighth overall. Hannah Reiden wasn't far behind, taking 10th overall with a time of 2:12.76. Brigid Behrens rounded out the Wildcat finishers with a 14th place finish after posting a time of 2:16.99.
Jacob Hostetler and Charles Rappe each recorded third-place finishes for the men.
Jacob Hostetler registered a third-place finish in the 400. The sophomore covered the distance in 48.28.
Charles Rappe stopped the clock at 53.99 in the 110 hurdles. Rappe placed third in the event. Sean Caveney earned a 12th-place finish with a time of 56.84.
In the 800, Patrick Rollo earned a sixth-place finish. Rollo clocked a 1:51.37.Ben Corson crossed the line in 1:56.27 in the half mile. The junior took 20th overall.
