DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson wrestling team will head to Asheville, N.C., to compete at the 2016 Arby's Southern Conference Wrestling Championship Saturday at Kimmel Arena.

The SoCon was allocated 13 bids for the NCAA Championship, with three at heavyweight, two at 157 pounds and one each at the eight other weights. Chattanooga will look to claim its sixth straight Southern Conference Championship and 30th overall title.

About Davidson
The Wildcats finished the 2015-16 regular season with a 4-14 overall record and a 0-6 mark in SoCon action. Tony Palumbo and Konner Pritchard lead the team with eight victories at 157 and 184 pounds, respectively. Palumbo has tallied six decisions, while sophomore Will Cooley leads the squad with three falls.

2015 Championship Recap
Davidson finished in sixth place with 27.5 team points, edging VMI by three points. Scott Patrick '15 captured his second straight Southern Conference Championship. Six of Davidson's nine wrestlers won at least one bout, with three wrestlers advancing to the third-place match.
