Strong Showing for 'Cats at Winthrop Invitational

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Davidson track program put forth a strong effort at the 2016 Adidas Winthrop Invitational on Friday.
On the women's side, Tori Long competed in the 400 and 200. Long placed 28th in the 400-meter event with a time of 59.73. In the 200, Long clocked a 27.46 to rank 51 overall.
On the heels of Long was Ashlyn Gruber in the 400. The senior stopped the clock at 59.99 to rank 30th overall.
On the men's side, Jacob Hostetler paced the men in the 400-meter event. The sophomore earned a 14th place finish with a time of 49.52. Tommy May (53.26) and Cole Reynolds (53.77) also competed in the event.
Jalin Jackson led the Wildcats in the 200. Jackson clocked a 23.48, while Jerry Chang registered a time of 23.62.
In the shot put, Brady Logan recorded a throw of 43'1.75" to rank 15th overall.
The Wildcats return to Rock Hill tomorrow for the final day of the Winthrop Invitational.
