DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson football team has partnered with Our Towns Habitat for Humanity for the Wildcats' annual Spring Game, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 2 at 3 p.m. at Richardson Stadium. Admission is free.
All fans that attend will be encouraged to donate and volunteer, and will be able to learn about the location, family and organization throughout the day.
"We are excited about partnering with both Habitat for Humanity and the Davidson College students to help bring awareness to this project," said Davidson head coach Paul Nichols. "Davidson, N.C., is a special place and supports Davidson football and our student-athletes feel it is important to support the community in any way we can."
More than 5,000 families in the Lake Norman community live in substandard housing and are in need of a simple, decent, affordable place to live. Davidson College Habitat for Humanity Chapter, along with the Davidson College football team and Our Towns Habitat for Humanity are helping to close this gap by allowing construction to begin on a new, affordable single-family home near the Davidson College campus.
The Campus Chapter has already raised $15,000 of the $50,000 needed to complete this home and the Wildcats want to use the Spring Game as another outlet to raise awareness. Davidson students, faculty, staff and community members will have the opportunity to build the house together from the foundation up.

This will be the third consecutive year the Davidson College football team has volunteered on a build and you can join the 'Cats on-site Saturday, April 16 to "Build with the 'Cats."
