DAVIDSON, N.C. – Entering their 13th season starting in the Fall of 2016 under the helm of head coach Greg Ashton, the Davidson women's soccer program announced today the signing of 10 incoming freshmen who will join the Wildcats.
The class of 2020 consists of 10 young women who were part of Davidson's early decision admissions process and are Ashton's 12th recruiting class since taking over the program in 2004.
"I'm pleased to announce the group of young women who will be joining our women's soccer program for the fall of 2016," said Ashton, who has collected 113 career wins at Davidson and is six away from becoming the program's all-time winningest coach since it first became a varsity sport in 1989. "The coaching staff has worked extremely hard to try and identify student-athletes who can be successful in the classroom and also provide more talent and athleticism on our squad. These young women come from different states and different backgrounds, but have all demonstrated their desire to become valuable members of the Davidson College student body and contributing members of the women's soccer program. I am happy to have these recruits join us as we prepare for another challenging year in the Atlantic 10 Conference."
