'Cats Face Saint Louis In First-Ever A-10 Tourney Friday

DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the first time in program history, Davidson volleyball will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships, beginning Friday, Nov. 18 in Saint Louis.
As the six seed, the Wildcats will face the third-seeded host Saint Louis in the first quarterfinal of the tournament, slated for 6:00 p.m. Friday.
Davidson and SLU have already faced off twice this season, with the Billikens coming out victorious on both occasions. The teams have met five times in series history, with Saint Louis owning a 4-1 advantage. If Davidson advances, the team with face top-seeded No. 23 Dayton in Saturday's semifinal.

FRANKLIN EARNS ALL-CONFERENCE ACCOLADES
Emily Franklin was named the A-10 Second Team All-Conference Squad Tuesday as one of five middle blockers to gain recognition. After leading the league and ranking in the top three in the nation in blocking statistics the entire season, the senior co-captain will end her Davidson career in the top ten in seven different categories in the record books.

Saint Louis touts the 2016 A-10 Player of the Year in senior Danielle Rygelski, an outside hitter who leads the nation in multiple offensive categories. Rygelski has tallied 601 kills this season to accompany 52 service aces. She has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week more than any other player in conference history, earning the title 11 times since her freshman season.
