DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson women's cross country team will compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet Friday, Nov. 11 at Panorama Farms.
Atlantic 10 Recap
The 'Cats notched their highest finish in a conference championship since 2007 when they placed fourth at the A-10 Champs Oct. 29 at Pole Green Park. Sophomore Caroline Yarbrough earned her second All-Conference team honors in as many tries, leading the team with a ninth place finish. Freshman Maddie Hunter placed 19th, while junior Sarah Sears entered the chute in 21st overall.
2015 Regional
Davidson will look to improve from a 20th place result at last year's regional meet. Yarbrough crossed the line in 37th place to lead all 'Cats. The then freshman ran a 21.56.1 over the 6k distance to set a new rookie program record at the regional meet.
Young Guns
Freshmen Maddie Hunter and Susannah Cate have mixed it up in the top-five for Jen Straub's squad all season long. Hunter has twice been named an A-10 Rookie of the Week. The pair have come within 10 seconds of each other in each of the four races they have competed in together.
