DAVIDSON, N.C. – Even with two remaining conference games on the slate this weekend, Davidson volleyball (10-16, 5-7 A-10) has clinched its first ever berth in the Atlantic 10 Championship, held in Saint Louis on Nov 18-20.
The Wildcats currently sit in sixth place in the standings, but must travel to league-leader and nationally ranked Dayton (26-1, 13-0 A-10) and Saint Louis (14-13, 9-3 A-10) on Friday and Sunday before making the trek back to the Gateway City for the tournament.
Both contests will be a rematch, as Saint Louis and Dayton each swept the 'Cats in Baker earlier this season.

POSTSEASON BERTH
For the first time in school history, Davidson volleyball has qualified for the Atlantic 10 Championship. Currently in its third season in the league, the 'Cats narrowly missed qualifying last season, finishing in seventh, and ended their first year in the conference tied for ninth. Seeding, game dates/times, and opponents will be announced by the A-10 office Monday, Nov. 14.
BLOCK TOPPERS
Keeping with their season-long trend, the Wildcats continue to top the league in blocking, totaling 287.5, averaging 2.85 blocks per set. The squad ranks sixth in the country in total blocks, and senior captain Emily Franklin is ninth in the nation in total blocks (149) and 12th in blocks per set (1.48).
SCOUTING NO. 23 DAYTON
The 'Cats will face their first ranked opponent of the year Friday, looking to win their first set against the Flyers since the two began meeting in 2014. Dayton is paced by a quartet of hitters (Jessica Sloan, Amber Erhanon, Lauren Bruns, Jamie Peterson), all of whom have registered over 200 kills during the season.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis is led by senior Danielle Rygelski, who tops the country in kills per set and points per set, and she ranks in the top seven in points, aces, kills, and attacks. Rygelski has turned in 580 kills and 50 aces this year, and is tied for the most Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors in conference history, with 10.
