Dates Set for Davidson’s A-10 WBB Schedule

DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Atlantic 10 conference today released the league opponent dates for each team as the Davidson women's basketball team found out when they will be playing their 13 league opponents.
With the release of the A-10 dates, the Wildcats' 2015-16 schedule is set after they released their non-conference slate earlier.
Entering its second year in the A-10, Davidson will face each of the 13 conference opponents during the 16-game league schedule that features eight home and eight away games. The Wildcats open A-10 play on the road for the first two games. They will start Jan. 2 at Fordham and then travel to La Salle four days later.
Saint Louis comes to Belk Arena for the 'Cats' league home opener, Jan. 10, followed by St. Bonaventure visiting, Jan. 13.
Other home games feature Fordham (Jan. 20), George Washington (Jan. 27), which won the A-10 regular season and tournament titles, George Mason (Feb. 3), Duquesne (Feb. 6), Massachusetts (Feb. 21) and VCU (Feb. 27).
Davidson will have two games televised on the road this year. It will be featured on CBS Sports Network at VCU, Jan. 17, and then at Saint Louis, Feb. 15, on NBCSN. Game times are set for 6 p.m. and 12 p.m.
The home and home series will see the Wildcats face Fordham, Saint Louis and VCU, making it the second year in a row they will face all three teams twice.
The A-10 sent five teams to the postseason at the conclusion of last year. A-10 Champion George Washington and Dayton both earned bids to the NCAA Tournament, with the Flyers making a run to the Elite Eight. Duquesne, Fordham and Richmond all took part in the 2015 WNIT, with the Dukes advancing to the third round.
The 2016 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship will be played March 2-6, 2016 at the Richmond Coliseum, each of the A-10's 14 teams taking part in the championship.
The A-10 overall schedule includes a record 50 national television appearances featuring all 14 A-10 teams across the league's media partners.
