Morris Earns Preseason All-PFL First Team Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Wide receiver William Morris of the Davidson football team was named to the 2015 Preseason All-Pioneer Football League First Team, the league office announced Wednesday.
This is the third preseason honor for Morris as he was named to the STATS FCS Preseason All-America Third Team and the USA College Football Preseason All-America First Team.
Morris finished the 2014 season with a school-record 1,224 yards receiving and 98 receptions, the most in a season at Davidson to be named to the 2014 All-Pioneer Football League First Team. The senior also led the league in receptions per game and yards per game last year.
The Wildcats open the 2015 season on Sept. 5 at Southern Conference foe The Citadel at 6 p.m. The home season commences on Sept. 12 against Catawba at 7 p.m. at Richardson Stadium.
