Davidson Wraps Up Day One of Gary Koch Invite

GASTONIA, N.C. – Senior Todd Eckstein paced the Davidson golf team on day one of the 2015 Gary Koch Invitational hosted by Kentucky and Auburn.
After 36 holes of play, Eckstein (73-76) sits tied for 32nd out of 81 competitors at five-over 149.
In addition to the co-hosts, the challenging field features Akron, Charleston Southern, Davidson, Elon, top-ranked Florida State, Kansas State, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Charlotte, UNC Wilmington, VCU, Western Carolina and Winthrop.
The 54-hole event is being played on the Par 72, 7,042-yard Gaston Country Club layout.
Tuesday's third and final round will tee off at 8 a.m. The Wildcats will be paired with Akron and Elon beginning at 9:03 a.m.
