Strong Field Awaits Davidson at Gary Koch Invitational

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Coming off one of its best rounds of the year, Davidson will continue its spring slate at the Gary Koch Invitational co-hosted by Kentucky and Auburn April 6-7 at the Gaston Country Club in nearby Gastonia, N.C.
In addition to the co-hosts, the challenging field will feature Akron, Charleston Southern, Davidson, Elon, top-ranked Florida State, Kansas State, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Charlotte, UNC Wilmington, VCU, Western Carolina and Winthrop.
The 54-hole event will begin Monday at 8 a.m. off holes 1 & 10 on the Par 72, 7,042-yard layout. Following 36 holes on the opening day, the final round will tee off at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Todd Eckstein, who has strung together back-to-back seventh place finishes in the last two events, continues to lead the Wildcats with a 73.0 stroke average.
