Golf Just Three Back After Day Two of A-10 Championship

HARMONY, Fla. – After 36 holes of the 2015 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship, Davidson sits in second place and will enter Sunday's final round just three strokes behind defending champion VCU.
The three-day/54-hole event is being played on the Par 72, 7,106-yard Harmony Golf Preserve layout.
Davidson (575/-1), which held the first-round lead following an opening round 284, carded a three-over 291 on day two. In addition to being just three off the pace, the Wildcats are five clear of third-place Richmond.
Dayton (+6) and St. Bonavanture (+6) are 10 behind the Rams in a tie for fourth, while George Mason is in sixth place 11 strokes back.
David Sargent (72-71) and Spencer Papciak (69-74) lead the Wildcats on the individual leaderboard in a tie for ninth at one-under 143. Ralph Blasey (72-72=144) is just one back in a tie for 12th, while classmate Todd Eckstein (71-74=145) also sits inside the Top-15.
Sophomore Andy Simmons (75-76=151) is also competing for the Wildcats, who are looking for their first conference championship since 1968.
VCU's Adam Ball (-10) leads the 55-player field at 10-under, five ahead of La Salle's Tony Aizpun (-5) and Jack Persons (-5) of George Washington.
Tomorrow's third and final round will begin at 7:30 a.m. off holes 1 & 10. The Wildcats will be paired with VCU and Richmond starting at 8:15 a.m.
